Did ya know, that you can actually blank out the signal on the DX 6 Spektrum radios?? A friend and I were talking toady about this, and noted that there is a possibility to blank out the signal??? Due to the higher freq. of this unit, and how crappy the signal gets as the freq. goes up.
Well, fired up the ole test bed, and put her in the air. DX 6 has a failsafe PRESET to low throttle setting. To ensure that failsafe was set correct, I fired up the plane, and then shut the Tx off. YUP!!! Low throttle. Ok, lets go!!! Flew around for a few minutes, and then tried to blank out the signal. Went verticle and started to roll, and my friend stood in front of my Tx antenna, and sure enough, I let go of the stick, and she kept rolling!!!

Did it again, because he wanted to see what happened, and did it again, and same thing! He was speechless!!!! I had a pretty good feeling that it would blank out, since I am a EET(Electrical Engineering Tech), but I just had to go along with him.

Even during this test, and knowing that you are trying to make this happen, my heart still jumped up into my throat!!!
Love my Spektrum system, and will NOT get rid of it for anything in the world!
Note-Don't try this at home, kids!!!
