Default Re: Edge Wingtips

Dick-
That is the way I understand it as well. My design reduces or completely eliminates the wingtip vortex by providing an opposing force at the leading edge of the wing which forces the air to flow over the cord which will increase lift and reduce drag. My design doesn't use winglets of any sort and is not a new concept by any means but has never been applied to props and materials were not available in the past to handle the higher stress this design imposes on the prop and/or wing. I will try to have the write up tonight, however it does not show my design in an effort to protect it. I will have a document which will need to be signed and mailed or faxed to me which will just ensure the confidentiality needed and that the design belongs to me. At that point I will provide a CAD rendering of my design and contact information so that those who are interested in my design can contact me for further information. I don't have the money or means to produce this design as I don't even have the money for a gas airplane. Thats where the rc companies that are interested come in. If they are interested then I will contract with them to have it produced.
