Default Re: Freestylin' -need help/advice on "how to"

Ive heard commentary from some of the "Big Guys" about this very thing and the way they prepare is quite different from one another.
Some prefer to pick the music first, put together a CD then listen and practice it over and over till they get it.
Some prefer to pick and fly the manuevers they want to do and get them down real good. Then they go mix the music to match a video of them flying it .
Some, believe it or not, just shoot from the hip and make it up as they go.
I guess its up to you and your style and what works. Myself, I try to get my music, practice each track until I get each section down, then put it together. Just try different things. You definately want a variety of music - fast pace, slow, etc.
Some prefer music with no singing, just the music. Its all up to you, your style. It is a direct expression of your personality and thats what I think is so cool about it.
I usually mix 4-5 different tracks of music into one program. Some just use one song. Its up to you. Half the fun is just coming up with it and watch it develop into something really cool.
One thing that helps me is to get a friend to video you from a spectator's view and then watch it on tv after your done. You will be surprised how different it looks when your watching it versus flying it. Make some changes and try again. Its kind of like figure skating except its flying. Good Luck!!!
