If your intent is to go toward 3D or aerobatic flying I would recommend that you get your radio set up for a hover at 3/4 stick, with +9 at the top and 0 at mid stick and -3 at the bottom. that way you will not have to relearn later. I am old and slow so I had a hard time changing from a 1/2 stick hover to a 3/4 stick hover.
The way you are set up now If a gust of wind hits you may have a problem getting down safely since you will still have positive pitch as the throttle closes and your headspeed will get dangerously slow by the time you can get it down.
This is just my opinion, You can ask 10 experienced fliers how to set up for a beginner and get 10 different but correct answers.
Some of what I said may have already been set up by whomever is helping you. You should probably stick to the recommendations of your instructor.
