You could also just take it down to two connections. You could split out all the power supply and ground wires into a single connection and then use a matched set of keyed connectors for the signal wires. Then there would be no chance for confusion about which servo wire goes where. I am also looking at several automotive style sealed connectors that have five terminals in them for my project. They are used in components that run at a steady 10-20 amps and are self locking at connection. This would make it simple and secure I would think.
