| Well that could possibly be the case if the field was in a highly traveled area but this is out in the sticks in Americus, GA. Probably a town of less than 10k. Check out Americus on the map. It has one red light and his field is 15 miles outside of Americus. He's in the middle of Americus and Andersonville, GA. Nothing but farm land and hunting land. So there is no threat of Walmart (already there) Nascar track (in Atlanta already), Amusement (also in atlanta) or subdivisions coming around. The main source of business in this town is chicken farms and small mom and pop stores. I fly at Hodges Hobbies. Go check out the website or visit the field. Would love to see you there. When you get there, you'll understand what I'm talking about. It isnt going anywhere. | |

You would think so, but really, you have no idea. It only takes one person to make a complaint... one farmer... one developer... one resident. I have seen plenty of fields go by the wayside, and you may not have a problem now... but you just might in the future. Assuming the idea that nothing can happen, its just not possible is a rather arrogant attitude which is what leads to places losing fields. Though it may not be a concern now, as more land is developed for a growing population, and houses encroach where farm land is no longer profitable, problems arise. Case and point, Pennsylvania farmland, nothing around for miles.. no real business, sparsely developed... you would never think anything would be built there... Cabelas put in a new outdoor super center.... 1000's of acres of farmland are now houses... warehouse facilities have been built and the place is growing like crazy. All it took was the fact that a highway was in the vicinity.
