Default OCRCP First Flyin.. was AWESOME!

Here in the Ohio/PA area there are a bunch of us who make an effort to fly together, and attend the same events, sharing knowledge (well , ok.. I mainly sponge knowledge, not sure anyone is learning anything from me!) and generally having a good time. "Old Crusty RC Pilots". (OCRCP) Seems like every group needs a acronym.

Yesterday we put together a little fly-in and invited a few of the GANG to come.

It was PERFECT. around 25 pilots, the best field I have ever flown off of (Thanks TORKS, and Kitman for the hospitality) and tons of flights and good times.

The pictures are limited because I was having too much fun flying.

Good to see Kitman, Papa Stek (RC4FLYING), JMiracle (and Wife),BUNKY (Chis Fry),John, Scott Hubbard (and son) and all the other guys.

GOOD TIMES!

Best save ever award goes to Chris Fry...
Chris had his 35% Carden in an inverted Harrier about 25 - 30 feet off the deck, kind of descending to really bring the plane down when he had a flame out.
I cringed thinking the plane was about to meet his maker...
Chris somehow managed to right the plane, and flair it at the last possible second,
the plane pancaked a bit.. but the only damage was a pulled gear plate.
Chris was bummed, but considering the circumstances, he really pulled his skills to save that plane. To see the event in person it was truly a insane save.
The Bunky Extra will fly again!
