Nyrod is very similar to what you use and many people use it for gassers. But if I were you, I'd switch to either a 4-40 or 2-56 ball end on both sides of the nylon rod. The gasser has a spring which I like to leave on. It may or may not cause that nylon rod to flex, you can try it to see. You don't want flexing as it adds to sloppy throttle control, not good for advanced flying...or any flying for that matter.

You can also use a 2-56 threaded rod with CF tube over it....or just use the CF rods w/ titanium threaded ends from central hobbies. That's what I used on my last two and they work awesome. No flex at all.
