This is a google earth shot of our little patch of earth. As you can see we suffer from a zero tree problem so you will never get us posting pictures of tree damage.
The big airport is a civil - military operation and they fly Mirage and F5's off it so we do not have a noise issue. Plus the local airlines use 737-200's and they do know how to make noise, lots of it.
Our small patch of dirt is actually off to the right lower from the active airport. It was built in the 1940's for bomber aircraft operations to protect the chilean ports. These were the principal copper suppliers during the war and that involved some serious troop and bomber deployments to this part of the world.
If you look really hard you will see bits of basla and monocote in the upper right corner. (Bermuda Triangle) Kidding OK.
