One trick I learned for torquerolling that has also proven useful in many other aspects of flight is to fly the nose when the canopy is facing you and the tail when the belly is facing you. This way, your natural responses will be the same for both positions, and more importantly, they will be the correct response!
With the canopy facing you, if the nose goes left, give it right (duh) or if it starts dropping away from you, pull it back by pulling on the sticks (again, duh!). Now, when the belly is facing you, pay attention to what the tail is doing. if it starts going left, give it right rudder. If it starts going away from you, pull it back with up elevator. Get it?
I find that knowing your rudder is EVERYTHING in 3D, and the first thing I see when someone falls out of a TR, or any other aerobatic maneuver, is the wrong rudder input.
BTW, use your imagination with this, it is useful for the rudder for inverted flight, uplines, etc.
