Default Re: Extra 300 elevator hinge line

I have built a few of the Dalton's and this is how I have done it. I put both stabs on the tubes (not on the airframe) and lay them out on a flat surface. The ply plate is the starting point that I use for my first cut. Take a straight edge that will go the length of both stabs, lay it accross the stabs starting at the trailing edge of the plywood plate. Even out the tips, left and right stab, and mark a line. Second line is 1" lower (toward the trailing edge). Mark the line and make your cuts. I should mension this, first make sure that both stabs measure out identical, length, width, hieght etc..
