It takes a dremel, and about 1/2 our of your time. the problem is the bearings dont get enough oil, and the little bit they do get is sitting after it runs because the web wont allow it to drain off. The oil sits on the bearings, and being contaminated with the methanol base of the fuel causes "HYDROPHELIA" to take over... IE Water being attracted to the evaporating methanol. This causes rust, and rust causes failure. When you remove that web, it allows the fuel to drain off, and also increases oiling during the running of the engine. OVER all the HYPER I believe is still one of the, if not the best bang for your buck in the 50 market. Full of power, and reliable as all get out. I can handle a bearing replacement twice a year if need be. Heck the RC car guys replace bearings after every 8 tanks, or at least the race guys do.
T, have you done this mod? I would like to do it to mine ASAP!
