Default Where should I go?

I live in Victoria, BC Canada and have grown real tired of rainy winters. I have this idea that I should visit NZ with my wife next year and enjoy a New Zealand summer. The problem is that I don't know where to go. I'm 60 yrs old, long retired and have flown RC since I was 11. I fly everything from an indooor foamy to a 50% Hempel Edge. From a QQ Python to a Proctor Albatross. From a MA Extreme to a Vario Bell 47G. From an Eraser XE to a 5.5m Fox. From a Mantis electric F3B to an Enigma. I used to compete but don't anymore because my thumbs aren' up to it and I've mellowed. I'm low maintenance at the field, safety first, last and always and believe that sharing is the best way to build the hobby.

Any advice as to where I should go and plant myself for two or three months next winter (your summer) would be GREATLY appreciated. Most important is a "Canuck friendly" groups of modellers. Budget is a consideration but not overriding.

Hope to hear from some friendly Kiwis.
