Default 1st Annual Cajun R/C IMAC - New Iberia, Louisiana

Alright guys. It is time for the 1st Annual Cajun R/C IMAC Event. March 29th & 30th at the Cajun R/C Club site in New Iberia, Louisiana.

Field will be open all day Friday for anyone wanting to (or needing to - that's me!) practice. Regular IMAC deal on Saturday & Sunday. Pilots fee will be $35 for non-IMAC members and $30 for IMAC members. Be sure and have your current AMA cards with you when you register at the event. PLEASE pre-register at www.letsflyrc.com/imac.

Schedule:
Pilots meeting at 8:30 AM sharp on Saturday, wheels will leave the ground immediately following. A little boudin & hogs head cheese run at about 9:00 AM on Saturday; you can't fly on an empty stomach can you? Then lunch around noon. Lunch will be provided to all registered pilots on both days. Saturday's lunch promises to be awesome! Sunday - not so much.

My goal is to get in three known rounds on Saturday, so come ready to fly. Then a (tentative) Saturday afternoon freestyle (thanks Will!). That will leave us wide open for Sunday, hoping to get an unknown and one round of knows in. Then the awards presentation and on the road for 1:00 PM sharp! Obviously, this aggressive schedule all depends on the weather and how well you listen to Sergeant Oubre. If you plan to fly freestyle I need to know prior to the event. Depending on how many sign up will determine if we have freestyle at all, so sign up!

Please note that the Cajun R/C Filed DOES NOT HAVE utilities. No water, no electricity. Don't worry, we do have a clean, regularly serviced port-o-let.

RV's are welcome and encouraged as we have plenty of space to park. Besides we need security at the field! Working on security anyways.

Lastly, I'm working with a local restaurant to set aside a few tables for a Saturday night crawfish feast. Unfortunately (for you) each person will be responsible for his/her meal. I will update this thread when I know more.

For additional information on directions to the field or local hotel info, visit our club website www.cajunrcclub.com. Any of you should feel free to contact me if you have any questions, cell: 337-322-6213.

P.S. Be sure and pick up any road kill you see on your drive in. We got plans for that stuff
