Hey All

The second flight line is going to be a step in the right direction because of 3D Flying. I agree, 3D and other type of aircraft and flying styles should be allowed on the second flight line. It really shouldn't matter,

-It will be understood that 3D and down in the dirt HUCKING IS ALLOWED!
-The 3D guys are allowed to strut down on the deck and in the middle of the runway.
-Low- high speed passes should be allowed beyond the runway (intentions must be announced)
-Time limit on hucking on the deck.
-2.4g tx only
-All AMA Rules must apply

What it really boils down to is the SPOTTERS. Spotters is a must, and they must understand not to get too awed with other planes hucking, protect there pilot and most of all, communicate! Let the pilot know if the deck is clear to come in and hover. It will also be understood that if the flight line is full, you cannot do your whole "4 min 3D routine" on the deck. A time limit of 15 - 30 seconds should be enforced, for hucking down low. Spotters must listen too each other to let every body know what their pilots' intentions are, i.e. low-pass, dead stick, or landing. Everybody on the deck at that time should punch-out immediately. No hucking in your neighbors face, unless you are communicating and intending to hover right along side of another plane (very cool!). You can have one of your flying buds spot for you, or the pilot on deck behind you should have the honors.

WE at Florida Freestyle Aerobatics Association follow these simple rules and never had any mishaps, other than the normal situations that a regular RC field has on a weekly bases. It works for FFAA, and we put on gatherings of 10 to 20 pilots a couple times a month around central FLA. It can work for JOE NALL, and it really pays off for the spectators. I can only hope and pray that the Florida eXtreme 3D Fly-In (FX3D) will be successful as far as safety, camaraderie, and maximum fun for the whole family!
