Re: CRRC Pro GF26I
I just bought this cute little engine and I'm planning on using it in my 76 inch Extra. It weighs in at 11.5 lbs (dry) and it's currently powered by a ST2300 with a Hawk 18X8 running on 5%. This setup is barely OK for sport flying but not even close for extreme aerobatics, let alone 3D. I've tached the ST @ 6600 rpm with the 18X8 and 7050 with a Hawk 18X6.
I hope this little gasser can provide at least an 800 rpm improvement over glow. I fly a lot and a move to gas will save me a great deal of money. I also hope that having chosen the 26 over the new 50 was not a mistake as I prefer a larger plane adequately powered but with a low wing loading. Any thoughts appreciated.
