Re: The Race to 2.4, one year later. Time For a Poll! Well I'm flying 2.4 on my slabs (using the cheapest 2.4GHz system on the market -- the iMax 9X at $150 for transmitter and receiver with satellite but I'm sticking with 72MHz for my other birds.
I've got a lot of planes and the cost of moving them all to 2.4GHz using a really good 2.4GHz system such as FASST or Spektrum is just too expensive.
I've never had a hint of trouble on 72MHz and since we have over 100 different legal frequencies here in NZ frequency clashes in our club are a non-event. I therefore see no reason to shift to 2.4GHz just for the sake of it. |
