Brave, I am VERY! interested in how your engine mount/clearance with the cowl is working out.
I am going to build a similar size P-51 from plans and have been struggling with DA-50/G62 engine choice. Really the only thing holding me back from the 62 is cowl issues. Would love to see some pics if possible.
