mine is(was) in a 88" extreme flight yak, under the canopy, which is tinted, mounted in the exact spot and same way my pcm319 was(is) mounted, i flew last summer here in tucson with the pcm, yes it was hot, yes i was sweaty flying, no i had no noticable problems, this 2.4(617) reciever was 2 weeks old, not even in summer months yet, and it failed, i truly believe it was heat realated, ive flown twice since with my pcm back in the exact same spot, no failure that i see, some of you say its our responsiblity to stay within the specs, so what does that mean, i cant fly in tucson from late april until september??? i agree with those of you that say something is wrong, and oversite maybe, something not thought of? i highly doubt it was intentional, maybe i am at the high end of temps with all my parts, batts, servos, etx.., but there is nothing i can do about that, my covering wrinkles more than yours does too, but i still want to fly and enjoy the hobby, just need to drink more water, haha, i still like futaba but i sent my 2.4 stuff back since it was within a months purchase, got a refund from tower, now i will see what happens with the rest of you guys, meanwhile i feel safe flying with my pcm, maybe in a year or 2 i will try the 2.4 stuff again, just need to see what happens with all this
