If you want something affordable, quiet, small, and not only looks like it is going wickedfast, but actually IS fast, look into a Speed400 class racer, but an outlaw. The true speed400 planes use a brushed speed400 motor and 6 or 7 cell nimh pack. They go pretty fast - maybe hitting 100mph out of a dive. But an outlaw would use a Mega, Medusa, Neu, etc. brushless motor and 3-4cell lipo and do 130+ in straight and level flight! Sure, those giant scale planes are cooking along at 230+, but they have about a 90 inch wingspan - the speed400 class planes only have a 25-30" wingspan, so they look like they are REALLY cooking! |
