Well I know it's an old thread but I just found it now... I was there, and I think I need to straighten the story a little bit
This was a small get-together, only pilots, no spectators or anything... This man taxies his jet out but suddently he stops it and turns it towards the crowd in the high grass, to check something, the rates or something... It's sitting there and we are thinking "why the hell doesn't he just take it out to the runway instead of letting it sit there pointing at us, btw the runway is far out there, a very safe distance from we were standing... All of a sudden it goes off, hauling ass towards the crowd! He said he accidentally hit the throttle... Luckily no one got hurt, but one guy had to face plant and you can see me running away from the path of the plane, black shirt and a camera in my right hand...
He's banned from flying now at the club and luckily he crashed his jet on takeoff on a second flight... (everyone watching from inside the hangar this time..
