It would behoove the powers that be (CD’s) to initiate the reduction of contest fees for registered IMAC members. This way, if a pilot decides to participate in more than three or four contests per year, the overall yearly contest costs would certainly be lower over the IMAC season, thus an incentive to join IMAC. And, for pilots that only fly one or two contests per year, the incentive wouldn’t be necessary because they know they wouldn’t be flying in more than a couple of contests.
The other option.. If a pilot flies in an IMAC contest, he or she MUST be an IMAC member, period. That would take care of most of the issues that have been identified in this thread.
