Re: THE NEW MT 57CC ENGINE
I'm also at sea level, L 1 3/4, H 1 7/8 are my needle settings.
Try starting the engine then open the throttle to get 3500rpm, with the motor running turn the L needle in it should speed up, use the throttle to bring it back to 3500 rpm, keep doing that until you see no change in the speed. The L needle is now slightly lean, turn it back out about 3/16 of a turn. Now try popping the throttle open from about 2200 rpm the motor should speed right up, if it dies turn the L needle out a 1/16th of a turn and repeat until it speeds right up. If it stumbles when you pop the throttle open it's rich, trun the L needle in 1/16th of a turn and repeat until it speeds right up.
Now open the throttle all the way and turn the H needle in until you get maximum rpm, leave it there don't back it out. Fly it like that and if the motor sags in long climbs trun the neele out 1/8th of a turn.
