| Just enjoy dont waste good money and a lot of it on a carbon wing tube and landing gear, then fanny about trying to loose wood and why put a da50 in that plane? save and buy a lite plane that comes with carbon and was meant to be lite, seems a good idea.
Just enjoy the plane you have...

He said it flew like crap, if it didnt ,he would enjoy it.
Lonnie I'm not sure of your investment potential here, Like bob said it will cost you quite a bit of money and ALOT of time, you will have to completely strip it down to nothing and start cutting and sanding,so if you really like/want THIS very airplane , then go for it all the way.
Look it over real good to see if the previous owner added lead to it for CG, then like I told you at the field, go through all of the servo linkage setup, and make sure the servos are centered, maybe use smaller/lighter batteries. I bet we can make that thing fly "OK" with out all of the work, if you want to try it.
