I'd like to thank everyone for all the suggestions and an extra thanks to Bob for offering to help me grind on it. After reading all the comments I think the best thing to do is strip the engine and radio gear out and buy a new plane. $600 to fix an old plane just doesn't seem worth it, not to mention all my time. I can probably get $200 for it at the Georgetown swapmeet. I asked my wife to get me a JR 9301 2.4gh radio for Christmas, I think I'll change that to a plane and keep my 8103 for another year. She saw Mikes plane at Kingsbury and said " I think you should get a plane like that and fly like that", who am I to argue

A 40% like Mikes is a bit more of an
expense then I would like to take on. Does anyone have a good candidate for my G62, low wing loading and fuse no more then 78" to fit in my truck?
