Default Youth Masters

Hello guys. This event was very BURGER. Having been there for the first time ever, I really had a huge time. It was just good fun for everybody with great but hot weather. Yesterday morning started off with an attitude and edicut talk before the young flyers ever set foot on runway. Mr.(yes Mr.) Bob Sadler let out a speech that was very moving and one that even the parents could relate to. Tears, laughs, and acting like Monkeys, we knew the tone was set for the weekend. I have to be honest, this kind of talk was best kept there and not viewed by all. It was one of those where you really needed to be there and understand what this is about.
Then, its's off to the hangar for a brief chalk talk about the do's and don'ts of aresti's. Andrew "Animal" Jesky provided his wealth of knowledge to the youths. Then, after that, a brief walk around of the machinery that we would use flawlessly for the next 2 days.
It is time to fly! Basic flew, then the motor fired for the advanced. It was great! All smiles, all the time. I tried many times to sneak in line to no avail. I am not trying to get all Sadler eyed , but to donate my time ,14MZ, and give away a new in box Tensor, was not even enough. I wanted to just give and give to this community of folks. It was great competition and just a heap of good times to be remembered forever.
So...... guys and gals(Yes, we need more lady pilotos!), if you even thought about coming to the event, and did not come because you felt overwhelmd.... WRONG!
There were some kids there who had never seen a gas plane, and they flew them all weekend! Ok, so, let me get this straight. For free, fly a $5000+ pro built and maintained airplane in the 35% size ... for free? Kids, take advantage of this now, nothings free when you get older!
Trust me, there was some ...well.... interesting flying going on. But the next time that " pilot X" took the sticks, whoah! What an improvement. Well, after all, Joe and Andrew Jesky peeking over your shoulder on the sticks and watching the airplane and constant feedback, you have no choice but to get better. They are not critical, they are helpful. Its Giant style there on and off the strip.
In the after hours, a group came together and made a foamie 3D freestyle crazy competition. It was great to watch these guys huck their foam. There were prizes, and next year, I WILL make sure there are more prizes!!!! If I get my way, everybody next year will get something! So, next year, no excuses, come out and lets fly. Even I got some help from Jesky! If you have any questions about the event, and are afraid to ask, please PM me for next year! Bye for now guys, Keith
