| This forum is full of info and my head is spinning from all the reading. After a lot of research I am probably going to go with a 50cc set up and was leaning toward a YAK but saw a lot of good info on the Extra. So here is the question, which airframe is going to be the most forgiving for a good first gasser? It does not have to do extreme 3-D since I am not even close to that ability at this time. | |

Not sure what you mean by forgiving but you cannot go wrong with any midwing Extra.
I should not say anything with all the gifted and more experienced thumbs available here on FG but in my opinion Yaks are more suited for slow than anything else and Extras are for clean lines and doing exactly what you tell it to do. But I have an Extra that can slow as well.
I like my Extras better than my Yak. In the right hands I'm sure it would shine but I favour airframes than can cut wind a little better, the Yak seems to get knocked around some where my Extras would not have noticed.
