Im a newbie to the whole helicopter experience....but after a few co-axial models
I purchased a belt cp package from china-- the question is:what is the downside of purchasing a rtf with a lower mhz -- 35.890 mhz.....will this be a problem later on ??

Depends on where you're at. In the US thats not a legal frequency for RC use.

With heli's, you pay for what you get. If you bought cheap, than it's cheap and probably will not fly well at all. Also you should have someone with experience check the heli over and fly it before you do. There is no such thing as a ready to fly heli. They all need some work out of the box. You should also spend time on a simulator, this will make a huge differences.
