My friend Rusty has dropped off the two planes at my place. They are in a bit worse shape than I had imagined. The CAP is sold, but the Carden Edge and partially built Giles (name brand unknown) are still up for grabs. Make no mistake, these both need some work to make them flyable, but the Edge is just a rebuild. It was flying, had a bad landing, and Rusty picked up the ship to rebuild. It has been 95% stripped of the monokote and needs repair of the wing and fuselage. Everything is there to re-assemble this carden Edge. ANY, repeat ANY offer will be considered and likely accepted for either, or both of these ships. I live 3 miles from Lunken airport, off Highway 32 in Newtown Ohio and you can pick them up here. THe pictures contained in the following link should show exactly what to expect. Remember, ANY offer will be considered! I just don't want to see these end up in a dumpster...:195:

heres the link: http://jutasi.u186.worldispnetwork.com/planes%20for%20sale%20make%20any%20offer.html the image files are pretty large, so it will take forever on dial-up...

I hate seeing awesome airplanes butchered by someone who cant build.

Fortunately, the airplane is basically straight, and a good sanding block, zona saw, CYA and a little tender loving care can get this edge back in flying shape in short order... :198:

Rusty found the missing aileron, so all the parts are now accounted for. Sorry the link seems to be down - if you're interested PM me and I'll put together a shrunken version of the photo files to send to you.:198: Had two interested parties, but seems that they lost interest, so the ship is still up for grabs!

I assume the Cap is still sold ? And I saw no information at all on the Giles except the mention it exists and brand unknown.

Hey Joe!
I'd love to get my hands on another couple of projects but it is almost 500 miles from my place to yours. I could however be enticed to make the trip. Give me a call on my cell 803-730-8454 and lets get together on an acceptable offer.
Thanks,
Charles alias crashman

i know these are worth a lot more than i can offer but i have to see if my plane builder friend can help me fix these before i pay for something that will sit in my way as well so could you take 50.00 for both and I'M not trying to be funny i know they are worth much more

Cap has been sold. I'm entertaining several offers of $200 for the Edge, but thusfar no one has arranged for a pickup time. 1st one to show up (or commit to a pickup date) gets it. For an experienced builder this is one serious weekend of work to make repairs and go over the whole thing with a sanding block with progressively finer grits. A little extra time could lighten the belly foam/sheet area as well. It appears less than perfect in the pictures, so please consider it a "diamond in the rough."

The Giles is very likely a Lanier kit, judging from the two piece PVC cowl and liteply cowl ring. Also has their signature double spars, top and bottom on wing core. The Giles consists of the fuse, cowl, canopy and wing cores. No stab cores or anything else.

my builder buddy from our field said he would pick them up Sunday if you would take 50.00 for both planes i know that is a loball price but its the best he can do right now

I think 200 (for both) would be a more realistic price. But don't be embarrassed for asking!:202:
