Kevin,
You are gonna love that airframe! Here is a vid of mine right before the first production release came out. This electric is absolutely fantastic. We built mine in a couple hours in a buddy's shop at the Ohio Huckfest, the night before the event started.

Sry I havnt posted any photos in a while. I will go ahead and upload some more. Will try to get some photos of the final look and set up. I have put about 5 flights on this plane and this plane is freakin awesome. Even with a heavier battery. I couldnt find any batteries in the 2600-3200 range in stock so I went to the local hobby store and they had the Thunder Powe 3850 Extreme V2 in stock so I decided to try it out. It cost a lot of $$$ but I believe it was worth it. I have a friend with a SR with this battery and he said it is great for pattern flying and you can get around 15 min of flying time with goo throttle management. Which I got around 13-16 min flights today!
Hopefully when the batteries get back in stock I can afford another battery for the plane to fly it lighter. Will be heading back to college Monday and this is going to be a perfect plane to fly at Embry-Riddle field next to my dorm room :198: We flew glow planes there first semester, but it is such a pain to carry all the equipment you need out there from the room!!!

Josh (BoneDoc) is spending a few months out here in San Diego, so we flew together for the first time today. He brought his AJ Slick out with him. He really puts that plane through it's paces. He offered me a flight, and of course i took him up on it, thanks again Josh. Sweet plane, a real pussycat to fly. It 3D's as good as anything I have ever flown. I kept it high today, next time I'll bring it down on the deck. You are going to enjoy this plane Kevin!

glad to hear!!! What motor/battery was he running?
I know this plane does the best blender. Exspecially if you throw full throttle in at the right moment :198: people thought I was breaking the plane it was going into it so hard!!!

Nice video Kevin, it looks like you are already very comfortable with your Slick! Actually, Josh has the 89" Slick, so I believe he has a Neu 1521 1.5 Y for a motor flying on 12 S batteries.

Yep,
Steve did a great job piloting it this afternoon. It didn't even bother him a bit that this is only one of the four flying 89" Slick in existence (for now :D).

Enjoying the thread guys! The 89" Slick is intended for DA-50 or other 50-60CC gas, Josh and I each have one converted to electric. Here's a video of Andrew flying his protoype on Da-50 and MTW can : VIDEO (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showatt.php?attachmentid=2076716)

This is a good "affordable" alternative. I've had around 20 cycles on mine, and it's holding up just fine.

Looks good. And thats a pretty large pack for that airframe. I am flying mine on a 4S 2500mah Flightpower. If you like it now, imagine it with an even lighter pack!!!!

One of my favorite maneuver is to go inverted at high speed, then pull full top right with the right stick, and down left with the left stick. it just tumbles like mad!!! :D.

I love doing that as well. Even better the negative snap/tumble from high speed upright like I did in my video. Sometimes you can actually get the airplane to go backwards when it doesnt know what to do. LOL. Good thing Ben builds them strong!

Believe in the plane :D. The first thing you will think to yourself is, "That's it, my plane is toast." But then the plane kept surviving those violent maneuvers, and before you know it, you don't think twice about it :D.
