Rockford, IL. and the Rockvalley RC Flyers are proud to Host the 1st of five in 09 Flying Giants Huckfest series.
This is going to be BIG so don't be left out, BE THERE ! The boyz from Illinois will show you a good time. We have a Fantastic field with not one flight line but TWO, EW and NS, huge sun shade, covered pavillion, fire pit and plenty of room for motor homes and camping.

Remember this is the air field where the 70% Staudacher made her first and only flight, you can watch the video clip at our web page.

As part of this Rockford,IL. Huckfest we are trying to help out the community by also Hosting a food drive.
Working with the Northern Illinois food bank, we ask that each of you bring one can food item for donation. No big deal , right?

Since our field was the site of the 70%'s first record flight I think we need to set the record for the world's largest hover gaggle.I would like to set the bar high with at least ( 25 ) planes hovering together and work our way up from there. What do you guys think??

I am still flying a Yak. Got this one RTC from a guy in Tenesee. My original Yak got damaged last year due to a fuel tank failure. I am rebuilding the motor box and center fuse with new foam parts. Will be the same colors with a little different look. Also flying a Carden Extra 300 40%. Hope to enter a IMAC contest this year. Jerry

i'm really looking forward to a HF this close to home! i'm used to traveling dozens of hours round trip for these! by the sounds of it, this may be an attendance record!!!! let's hope so! it will be nice to set the bar nice and high for the rest of the HF's this year!!!!

I found a new Steel building that I couldn't pass up. The economy thing has it's pros and cons I guess. It just happened to work out for us.

Listen up guys..... This is one of the best fields within a 1000 mile radius. wide open spaces with two runways. Manicured grass, and lots of room for your trailers. Dave and Al know what it takes to put on a great show, so pilots will be taken care of.

You will definately see me there ringing out Haases planes.

Id love to keep talking up this field and event, but I need to do some reading up on "how to wire a sign shop for dummies"

quick question to any electricians. For a 3 way switch, do I hook up the black, white, and bare wire to the switch? And the red wires usually go to the ground if im not mistaken. Oh well, its a metal building so it shouldnt burn.

Last I checked you twist all the colors together, just make sure you twist the red on to the black not the black to the red.

Tim: I checked the weather for the flyin... It will be 71 degrees and 0 wind for the entire event. Kinda like outdoor A/C. Perfect weather for Katana's. Hope you can make it.

Bryan, Hows the electrical going on the shop? Make sure before 2Dogs turns any power on, all sprinkler systems are working, And the fire department is there.

I still dont know what I did wrong... but the fire department is still there.. They are the best in the county.. (they havent lost a foundation or well yet) God forbid you would of built this being a wood pole barn... I think the steel is going to be OK..

Any problems that may come about, we will blame on Blaine... Hes in charge of Framing, electric, plumbing and drywall. I noticed a few leaks, sparks and cracks already, but am afraid to point them out.. Maybe Bryan wont notice...
