Me and the mates took the day early, light breeze, -1°C and the sun was about. I maidened my Intro and my mate flew his turbo prop Raven for the first time. So a good day all in all and also the first jet flights of our club. :198:
Obligatory videoclip with Top Gun soundtrack, pardon the quality. Few more pictures can be seen here (http://modelflug.net/myndir/thumbnails.php?album=83).

BRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Sounds and looks freakin' COLD!
You guys are great. I'm guessing you had to clear the runway of all that white stuff that don't really look like sand. :D
The turbo is awesome!

Don't envy you :199: Lowest temp. we've flown in that I remember was -18°C but there was no wind, add in the wind and then things get colder in a hurry as you know.
Nice:198:

Sweet machine, ex Ali M., the prop rip is something, you can see more flights on it here > http://frettavefur.net/video/2008/Ali_does_Iceland.wmv

Around 12-15°C is common although when the conditions are right we can get temp close to 30°C.
Hot summer days are around 20°C and of course we have daylight 24/7 from mid May until late July :198:

I think it get it now...
You guys really favor these turbine crafts because they warm up the pit boss area so well prior to the take off run and on return!
Sure - that is why we really prefer the mojos that turn their fan blades so fast too - here in sunny-hot Florida! :D
Makes wicked sense now!
