Yesterday, I went to the club auction..... Most of the stuff they were selling was warbirds, trainers, oldtimers, and a few electric ARFs..... I looked around but didn't see much I liked (it's hard to torque roll a cessna 172) when finally, I see this pretty little extra 300s. I was always a huge fan of the extras, so i figured i'd bite at the only real 3d-able, ready made plane in the auction..... about a half hour later, the extra was on the selling block... "OK let's start off at 40 BUCKS!!!" I bid.... I stood there nervously... "can I get 45 bucks!?!" stood there some more... " going once going twice" sold.... The cool thing is, I went to bring the plane back to the car, and the guy who was selling it came over and gave me some money back.... so, I only really paid $35 for it... sweet...
It looks like a GP extra 40, but it's got a foam wing, and no tunnel. I can't really tell what make it is, but if you know please tell me.

I think that was an Extra that was released under the Hobbico brand....mid-ish 90's I believe.

Don't try and 3D this thing. You'll only frustrate yourself. Keep the CG forward and fly it fast and smooth. Good luck to ya.Oh yeah it is a hobbico, I used to fly mine with a OS 61FX

Its a great flying airplane. I flew it with Saito 65 and later with an OS 90 4 stroke. I flew it with a very aft CG.

Yep Hobbico. I've had two and they were great for a slam it together in a weekend and fly the snot out of it plane. When I had mine there was no such thing as 3D so no comment on that but it was an awsome big air plane. Saito 91 all the way! 20 feet then straight up! A buddy and I had a pair and we flew them in formation........ built a few............. No more tears.
