All I can say is I hate the wind. First time I've flown or done anything RC in about 3 months.

LOL. It is repairable but I don't plan on fixing it. The plane was just too stubborn as far as balancing and control goes. Now I can get a new plane.

I went through 2 of those Tribute FXs. Set up right they fly well, but they're incredibly fragile.
I finally went EPP (expanded Polypropylene) with a Flash over a year ago. It'll use all the gear from the Tribute, flies amazingly well, and is literally indestructible.

...Sure the airframe costs about double what a polystyrene 3D ARF does, but mine has hundreds of flights logged and only recently did I buy another since #1 is starting to look a bit battered.
On #2 I'm going to add a strip of thin, flat carbon into the leading edge of the wing, a couple bits in the stab and rudder for stiffening, and some 1/64" ply on the sides of the nose. I'll also make the motor mount removable for "service".
I also have an Uzi XXL biplane and a Sniper XL, which flies like an old school pattern plane w/ the AXI 2826-12 I have in it. All 3 are over a year old and all have gone in hard and were fixed at the field with medium regular CA and accelerator.

I had a Tribute FX. AND CRASHED IT ON THE 5th FLIGHT! It's in airplane heaven now. :P
