Several months ago after talking with Ralph Lang about getting back into flying IMAC he invited me out to fly his Dalton 300(how could I pass up an offer like that right?) before I even had one flight on the plane Ralph was asking me what class I was going to fly in at the local IMAC, and it was all down hill from there. I flew the Dalton to a 4th place finish(with two pins sticking out of the side of my wrist) getting beat out of 3rd by 7/10th's of a point. As we were practicing for the Fort Collins IMAC we noticed that the aileron hinges were starting to work them selves lose. The Dalton has about 350 flights on it and we had been talking about recovering it for awhile now, we decided since the hinges were coming lose it would be a good time to go ahead and rebuild the plane.

On day one of the rebuild I managed to get all of the radio gear pulled as well as the engine, we are sending the servo's into JR to get them checked out as well as the 150 back to DA to get cleaned. I also managed to get the covering off the wings and the elevators and will finish stripping the fuse today. More pics to come as the rebuild continues.

Lastnight I got the rest of the airframe stripped down and its becoming very obvious that the dalton was due for a rebuild. The bulkhead behind the landing gear had worked its way lose as well as a number of stringers and some other small things. today i'll start adding new hard points as well as cleaning up the area around the pipe exits(the baseball bats were added about a month and half ago)
