View Full Version : best plane to put a saito 150 dual plug in

First of all i would like to ask if im making the right decision by mounting a evolution 26 cc gas instead of the saito 150 on my aeroworks 120 yak. im leaning towards the 26 cc evolution myself. By the way, has anyone heard of a dual plug saito 150 motor? I can still put it on the plane if anyone out there can convince me not to spend my money on the evo. I already have the saito sitting at the house. Any insight would help.

Go ahead and use the Saito if you have it, why not?

I have not seen a dual plug 150 but it would be interesting to know if you could use a cylinder head assembly from a dual plug 300 twin.

Answer to the thread name. MINE !:198: I love four strokes they just have priced themselves out of reach on a new project.

If you are like me have engine want plane you are in better shape than I. Mine is an OS 120 four stroke and weight and drag is more of an issue. Thinking scale bird for it these days.:202:

If i had my choice I would use a gasoline engine. They are much less hassle than a nitro. With the evolution you could put it on your plane, take it to the field having never ran it at home and it will start and run no problem. My experience with nitros your always having to adjust something or its not wanting to start. Always gota be something. The best part is that the gasoline engine will use alot less fuel and the cost of the fuel per gallon is less than a quarter what nitro is.
