When the Fed Ex/UPS delivery people start calling you by your first name, or you beat your wife home everyday so she doesn't see what was delivered-----you might have a problem.

43 years, started when I was 5. Both wives said I was an addict. My son and I have 54 airplanes ranging from 6 oz electrics to 40%, this year we go bored and now fly heli's too.
Oh well when they come up with a 15 step process matbe we will join (doubtful).

I have a flying disorder. When I don't get to fly much, I get real mean and grouchy, and start screwing with peoples minds on a website called Flying Giants.

I think it safe to say were all addicts or we wouldn't be here. The wife says I'm obsessed.

Sure there is: 1.Learning about a new kit. 2.Wanting that new kit. 3.Deciding that you will buy that new kit. 4.Ordering the plane. 5.Ordering all the rest of the stuff. 6.Waiting for the godammned brown truck, and hoping none of the stuff you squandered your hard earned money on got ruined by the idiots in the brown costumes. 7.Receiving your new toy and all its duds. 8.Ripping into all the packages like a little kid on X-mas morning. 9.Building your new toy and programming the TX. 10.That feeling of completing the build, the morning of the maiden. 11.The rage that flows thru your veins, while stuck in a traffic jam(because some dumbass that could'nt drive, got plowed into by the truck he cut off) on the way to the flying field. 12.And finally, getting to the field, answering all the typical questions about your new toy, and finally, the maiden flight. My kind of therapy. Life is great!!!

Is it normal to check you shipping status on a new plane every 10 minutes ? I'm driving myself nuts!

12 steps for HA
Helicopters Anonymous 12 steps
1. We amitted we were powerless over our love of r/c helicopters and that are wife's and kid's lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a greater and more powerful helicopter could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to buy another helicopter and turn the lives of are closes living relatives over to the care of any thing of thier chosing, as long as they do not bother us.
4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of all the local hobby shops, on-line web pages and trade magazines.
5. Admitted to anyone who would listen and ourselves that the inventory we took in step 4 makes us want more helicopters and there is nothing wrong with that!
6.Were entirely ready to buy another helicopter that has a lot of 'character'.
7. Humbly asked our significant others to remove money from the bank account.
8. Made a list of all the stuff we needed and became willing to spend alot of money to buy it all.
9. Made direct purchases from such people wherever possible, except when to do so would cost to much.
10. Continued to take an inventory and when we wrong, promptly admitted it and purchased the right inventory.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our fleet of helicopters, praying only for the money to carry that out.
12. Having had an awakening as the result of these helicopters, we tried to carry them to the flying field and to practice flying everyday.

I happily admit I'm an addict. It's my wife's fault, she suggested I give it a try. Maybe so I'd leave her alone. Now when she asks me how I decide which of my planes I'm going to fly, I ask her how she decides which pair of black shoes she's going to wear.:200:

Definately addicted! Is it bad that between surgeries I will check what is going on here on FG and check patients labs. There is a similar importance to me!!! What would life be without tracking numbers... I always have to be looking for that next order!!!
