Well after seeing the last build that AJ Lee did I just had to give him a try. Not only because he did great work but because he was just so darn fast. AJ recieved my plane on the 15th of October and began work on the 19th. Today the truck came to his house and picked up the plane to be shipped to Mac Hodges where I will pick it up. Can anyone build faster?? LOL This building season I had 2 Carden 260's built in the same scheme. One was done by AJ and the other was done by John Monaghan. Both builders did/are doing an awesome job on the planes. The fit and finish on the planes are just second to none. AJ's plane should be to me by Thursday. He is actually filling out the shipping information as we speak to get it on the truck and to its new home. If anyone is thinking about builders either would do a perfect job. I have a ton of pictures to upload this evening to show you guys detailed pictures of the build. On the pictures, you'll notice a few changes I made with the plane and then other changes AJ did which came out great. During the build AJ was wonderful to work with! He always kept me informed on where he was on the build and would send numerous pictures either every other day or every couple of days. Well hopefully everyone enjoys the pictures as much as I did. I'll get them loaded up as soon as I get home this evening. Might be a little later because I'm heading over to Johns to start installing gear into the fuse.

AJ just called me and said the truck left his house about an hour ago. He also sent me pictures of the crate he built, which is very impressive, and of the truck driving out. Can't wait to see the finish product.

Looking forward to all the pics! :198:

There was absolutely no lightening done on it. The only thing lightened was the lightened motorbox from Dennis. The weight I am projecting is 38-39lbs. That's where they are all pretty much coming out to.

A.J. sent me some pics the other day.........The plane looks really great......:198:

2nd round. The last couple are how AJ ships his planes. He builds the box from scratch and packs it extremely well. Well I'll let you be the judge of his packing and shipping ways.

Jay, you just struck my good side. I have called up the trucking company and they are diverting the truck to head up to your house. I tried calling your cell phone but you did not pick up. So being the good friend I am to you, I called your good friend Elie and he gave me your address from when you had him pack his salami for you. So not only do you need to thank me but thank our good friend Elie. :)

Yes. It is covered in Ultracoat. I have found that these colors are the best colors that show up in every type of sky.

This was the kit I just bought. I also do have another one exactly like this that should be finished and picked up tomorrow night. Both are 40% 260's.

Yeah we are able to fly all year long. Since you are that close to one of the best flying sites you should come on over to Macs. You wont believe the flying site or hobby shop right on the runway.

WHOOOHOOOOO, I can relax now!!!!!!!!! I just got a call from Mac and they said the plane arrived in perfect condition. The crate had a small puncture on the right back side so they opened it up to check the contents. Of all things it would be right where the wings were packed. But nothing was damaged or wounded. Plane landed without a scratch on it. Now I can sleep a little better at night knowing its not going to get damaged. It will sit at Macs until Sunday when I go pick it out of the crate and go over it with a fine tooth comb. Tonight I'm picking my other 260 up from John Monaghan and will program and try to fly it if the weather turns out good tomorrow. Supposed to be raining in the afternoon. But Sunday looks like a perfect day. I'll get to fly all day and trim out the new plane and check out the other one.
Hey Chris give me a call and let me know the location of the airfield....If I can I will come down and check it out..
