Ok you lost me there:202:
How do I do that ?

Pale Rider,
Open up the .TMD file for the plane using Word or somthing similar,
there will be a VERSION number like the second line, and it might be 1.9.0
just change the 9 to an 8, so it's 1.8.0
the 1.9.0 is for the add on that you purchase, and 1.8.0 is without.
Then hit ctrl+S to save, and enjoy you new airplane

How so I get the sound to work for the Pitts Python?
Edit: All the ones that need the 1.9.0 to 1.8.0 don't have sound. I know that you can just copy a certain sound file from one plane to another and that sometimes fixes it. Don't know what file that is though.

It turns out that the sound problem is only with the Pits. I used the sound fo rthe Pits s-12 as its a DA240 and just sounds cooler. :198:

How do you use the sound from another plane? Which file is it? I think you just use one from another plane and re-name it but I'm not sure which file it is (TMD etc).

If you open the .tmd file in word scroll down to the second to last page. Near the middle you will see the text for engine sound. Just replace the info in the pits file with that of another plane you already have. I think that its about 5 or 6 lines but its easy to figure out the ones need to be replaced.:207:

I had to download another browser to get it to work, it has something to do with MS Explorer. It works great with Mozilla Firefox.

thanks that worked. now im wondering why im having trouble getting them to work on aerofly all of a sudden. u just take the folder and put it into aircraft right?
I get the same mesage "file invalid or corrupt"
or I go to unzip and there are no folder contents to unzip. is there another web site location to download these from. I usually have no problems with the planes from the ipacs site for example.
the planes look really cool Davide I would like to try them:212:

Hi. I don't know what operation system you are using, but I had the same problem in my computer and I have Windows Vista with Explorer 7. What I did to solve the problem was that I turned my laptop on that has Windows XP and the previous explorer and I was able to download without no problem. I did also unzipped the folders in that same computer and then copied the folders to the correct place into the AFPD.
See if this works and let me know. If you need I cna always send you those files by e-mail. Let me know.
Thanks

I am clicking on the links for these planes, saving them to my aircraft folder in the IPACS program. When I go to extract it there are no files to extract, what is wrong?
Thanks in advance.

I unzipped files for several years on my computer and now I can't. Explorer seems to be the problem. I have some buddies that get the thing to work on their computer for some reason. I have Windows XP as does the buddy so I can't figure this all out. I am forced to use the Mozilla Firefox browser to get files unzipped from the Flying Giants site. Mozilla is a simple download and you can still use Explorer as your default browser. Mozilla does not affect anything in my computer.
