Default Cleaning Radio Tips

Any good ways of cleaning a radio. Like the sticks and the whole out side box? I have had my 9c for about 3 years and needs a little cleaning. Was wondering how you clean your radio.

Glass Wipes!

Don't use the Hiney Wipes. They have aloe in them.

Yea, glass wipes work good and I use a wooden tooth pick to get in all the crevices.

Ok, Here's the redneck tip of the day .

I got a brush that my wife uses to put on make up. She calls it a "Blush Brush". You can get them at Wal-Mart for like $3. It folds up small to fit in to my TX case. But folds out larger to clean the TX with. It does a excellent job!

I've use all the above. Except for hiney wipes. A one inch hair paint brush with the bristles cut to about 1 1/2 inches works well. If your flying mostly gas it seems to be mostly dust. With glow fuel thats a different story. The Nitro can eat away at the plastics from your hands to you TX.

Watch the rubbing alcohol! It lifts the white paint of the gimbles, and lift the grey paint off the case around the screen on the 10X. Be careful!

thanks for the tips. I used a q-tip for some parts and then went over some with a old tooth brush. It looks a lot better than it did before but still could use some work on it. Really thinking about getting the new spektrum radio early next year and use my 9c for my big gassers. Not that I dont trust the spektrum for big gassers just I dont want fool with changing things out and having to re trim everything.
