Help! Four servos on 1 channel?

I am almost done with my first giant. Got the wing servos for Christmas Anyhow, is it safe to run 4 servos on one channel, or would it be too much load on that channel?

It would be best if you can seperate them into 2 channels. Left ch. and Right ch.

I would run each side off a seperate channel, this also allows for programming differential

If you do get a Power Box you will still have to run off of two channels if you want the differential to work with your radio.

I run four servos off of one channel by using a JR Matchbox and a seperate battery for the ailerons on my Ultimate. Differential can be programmed in by choosing a percentage value difference between left/right and up/down. You need a progrmmable radio for this though.

Got 'em hooked up tonight. Running them off of channel 1 & 7. Seem to be ok that way. I had to program ail-dif in the radio. It was pretty easy to do.

Get a power box, you will need one down the road anyways!

I've got 4 Rudder servos in one channel no problem. You have to sync the servos though, I use a match box. A powerbox is a preference thing. It is really not required I believe.

Rick

Talking Re: Four servos on 1 channel?

You may be correct that you don't need a powerbox, and the system you are using works great, but when the battery pack gets low the sevos on your setup will either work slower or stop all together. Not a problem I know you have rudder just hope your not hovering when it happens. The powerbox is by far the best $100 I have spent on electric gizmos. Good luck on your plane. I'm sure it will work great. Just keep in mind the powerbox.
