Got to fly it today!!! Sukhoi W/ Kroma 100

Well, got a break in the weather today, and got to fly my Sukhoi. Man, what a thrill! Everything went very well, except the smoke pump. It would wwork when it wanted only. On the ground it worked perfectly, but in the air, it would work for a few seconds and then quit. Dunno what the problem is. On the Kroma engine, ran great. Break in on a 27X10 prop, and it was almost too small. Running 32:1 lawnboy for break in and never missed a lick. Engine ran within the factory specs on temp, so it is going to get a lot of air time in the near future!

Hey, I'm honored. That was my friend flying it in the pic, he dragged the rudder a couple times, in that one, it's only a half inch or so off the ground.

I ask because i have been trying to decide what pump i will put in my new 41% Extra 300.......... Just curious.... ohh, sweet plane by the way! I have one myself and love it!! Just pulled a twin zdz80 from it and am going to upgrade to a D/A-100 should be sweet!

I had no tach. We did take temps on the head though.

I am using a Sullivan Skywriter. I think I found the problem tho. I had a line that was questionable. Kind of tight between my batteries and the frame. When it did work, it poured out great smoke.

For RPM numbers...DR said that the motor will run up to 8200. Thats alot, but the motors we are running out at the airfield are a little over 7000 rpm.
