Default sb-50 vs. mp2?

I've seen scorf's hyper running the hatori sb-50 and it's a rocket, but he has quite a few mods done to the motor. I'm ok with the power of my mp2, but could use some more grunt. Just wondering if anyone has used the two pipes on a stock hyper and what their opinions are on it.

I've used both on the Hyper, and I preferred the SB50. The MP2 probably made slightly more power, but barely. The biggest thing was that the MP2 was only happy in a very narrow range of speeds, where the SB50 made great power no matter what it was spinning at. This made the biggest difference to me, as I can get a bit sloppy on the collective, and if I bogged it on the MP2, it took longer to get back up, and on the SB50, it would bog a little bit and come right back up. It also made the engine much easier to tune.

The comparison was on the exact same Hyper, same heli and everything. One day I decided to try the SB50 on my Evo, and the next day sold the MP2. It's an expensive pipe, but worth it.

Another one to take a look at is the Audacity Pro muffler. I happened to be given one by a friend of mine, and I don't think I'd ever buy another 50 sized muffler again. Power and tuning wise it's very similar to the SB50, but it's a lot cheaper. I'm not using mine right now, and probably won't for a few months, you're welcome to try it out and see if you like it as long as you're willing to cover the shipping costs both ways.

That would be awesome! I will post the results. I fly by myself during the week so I will have all the test time I need at the feild. Using different head speeds and punching out is great way to test the power band. I'll page you.
