Default Flying in Texas, tomorrow!!!

We're going flying tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 10, as long as the winds don't pick up to over 20 mph and it starts raining. The trailer is loaded for business and we'll be heading to Hondo, TX, the field on 90, we should be there about noon.

If the weather turns to complete crap, Sunday will be the day, it's supposed to be nice.

So that's it!!! Come on out and fly, I can't wait!!! I have to say, we've never flown at this field, but were told by a club member to come on out and fly, so that's what we're gonna' do!!!

I pass this field everyday on my way home from work. There isn't much around, though it is right of off Hwy 90. The club consists of a small group of retired guys that fly almost everyday around noon. I've Flown there once or twice. Just a nice grass runway. Enjoy. Would join you but I'm heading up to San Angelo for a foamy pattern contest.

I'll do that. I think you might get a break in the weather tomorrow. Today was crap, so tomorrow should get better!

Boulder,
I'm with Brian in driving by there everyday going to work. I have flown there many times. It is a very nice place to fly. Cliff Brieten owns the feild and lives right across 90. He is a very cool guy that loves airplanes. I'll be perfectly honest with you on this one. I enjoy flying at that field as much as any I've been to. Nothing fancy and that is what makes it so much fun. Its also east/west so your wind correction will be vastly improved.
I would come out and join you but I'm headed to San Angelo first thing in the morning. Next time you want to come over get a hold of me. I'd be glad to go flying with you.

Good stuff Jason,

You might even know one of the guys I'll be flying with, Archie Stafford. I think you guys might be on the same team or something...

Dang, Boulder. That puts you about six hours due south of me. Couldn't you have picked a field any closer ?

Wish I could have Shaun, my buddy Arch is dating a girl in the Hondo area and he'll be there this weekend.

We will be getting together sometime this season, we have enough of us in the great state of Texas we should try and plan a fly-in, don't ya' think?

Yea, I agree......Yesterday I was just noticing how many people have been joining from around this area.
Maybe when the weather clears up. And we start getting some consistent weather we could schedue a "Down South Flying Giants Ho-Down". Maybe somewhere around June-October timeframe?.
