Hey boys,

For all you guys that are members over at http://www.pitsbros.com. It was toasted today. I woke up this morning to check my e-mail and the server was down, so I called the host and they told me they'd get back to me. At 3pm, I got a phone call from them telling me that someone severely screwed with the server and they had to re-provision the server which basically means that they nuked everything. I asked them to restore the backups from Sunday night and they asked me for $500. I told them to beat feet because server security is not my problem. I'm supposed to hear back from them tomorrow, but as of now, PB is gone. If they won't restore it, I'm gonna have a hard time letting them take $500 for something that isn't my fault. It's not that I can't afford to do it, but that's just f'ing robbery. Right now, I don't even have e-mail...it's all messed up. I'll keep everybody posted.

Yea Mikey, im with you, you shouldnt have to pay them because of something like that, sounds like to me that they are just looking to try to stick some people for some money. This really isnt right man.

Mike, is there anything left of the server? do you have a shell login, and can you still access it? you need to drop me a pm dude, nothing is "ever" lost bro. The 500 scratch is definately extortion.

There's nothing left on the server, Max. They moved us to a new box. I was told that I'd heard from them sometime today. Yeah $500 is definitely BS...
