Default Hello from Sweden

Hello. Just surfed in and registered.
I'm BJ and I'm 59 years old and have flown model airplanes since I was a kid.
Started with control line and a 3,5 Webra diesel, it didn’t take long before I built more airplanes.

Mostly I have built models in the 40 and 60 Size. My first chopper was a Heli Baby without collective pitch it was powered by an OS 40 (and had no gyro 1973) a challenge.
Later I have had two helicopters one 60 size Hirobo Eagle 1998, and one 40 size Hirobo Shuttle.

Today the helicopters are sold and only fixed wing projects are in my hang out.

I have just started on a Zlin 50 L. The wingspan is 214 cm (82,x inch) It's an Air World kit.
A Saito 300 T will power it, and the weight is estimated to 11Kg (24,5 lb) or less.
Now the elevator is divided in two parts and I just wonder how strong servos I really need here. Would two (one for each side) Futaba S 9001 Torque: 54 oz-in @ 4.8V - 72 oz-in @ 6V (3.9 kg-cm @ 4.8V - 5.2 kg-cm @ 6V) do the job if I supply them with 6v continuous?
Or do I need bigger and stronger metal gear ball bearing servos for this model.

I'm also operating a real experimental model. A homebuilt twin engine (super ugly) 210 cm wing span (82 inch) powered by two OS 46 FX. It has a towing device and is able to tow a banner or towing up soaring airplane. I can fly it on one engine (no one-engines take off yet!!)
Have A Great Day

BJ
