Default Great day at the field (well almost) with pics.

Finally got a day with some sun and winds less then 25mph. Took the 50cc Yak for another spin, Nitrohuffer flew his EVO .50, Manzer brought out his recovered 33% Aeroworks Edge and AJT had his 35% Wildhare Sukhoi.

We all had a great day of flying, all except AJT. Right at the end of the day he was flying his Sukhoi on about his 4 or 5th flight with it when it made a horrible crunching sound and the motor quit in a bad spot.

He had to land it downwind and unfortunately the gear didn't hold up too well.

The Wildhare. You can see where the cowl left the cowl ring in flight.

No way are you gonna repair that cowl, what you can't see is the damage to the fuse from where the gear came out.

It's a great flyer. Really light and responsive. I am sure they will do the right thing by fixing the problem with the cowling seperating.

I can't wait to see it in the air again.
