Just got word a Blue Angel went down possibly in a neighborhood in S.C. just shortly ago. Anyone who has any info let us all know what's going on. I hear the pilot is alive but don't hold me to that. He would obviously had to have ejected if he is alive. -Kelly Gerber |

| Breaking News: 'Blue Angel' jet crashes at Beaufort Air Show BEAUFORT, SC (WIS) - WIS has learned from its sister station in Savannah that a plane in the Blue Angels flying squad has crashed at the Beaufort Air Show. WTOC tells us that the jet crashed Saturday afternoon while flying in the Blue Angels' performance. Eyewitnesses say the planes were flying in formation when one of the jets apparently crashed into a group of trees in a Beaufort neighborhood, starting several house fires. It's not yet known if there are any casualties from the crash or fires, or who was flying the plane at the time. For more information on the Beaufort Air Show, click the link to the show's website here. Count on News 10 to bring you any new information as this story develops. Posted by Logan Smith

Thanks for the info Kelly. Best wishes to his family. The Angels are some of the best in the world.

Thoughts and prayers to the families. My JROTC was supposed to take some cadets to an airshow May 12th at Seymour Johnson AFB in NC. I hope they will still be able to do it but this may take some time. The Angels have been through alot, this crash and a hurricane hitting their home base I think in Lousiana? They're not call the Angels for nothing though ![]() ~Michael~ |

The pilot was Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis. He obviously tried to control the aircraft all the way to impact ( did not eject ) in order to prevent injuring anyone. The Blues are like our family here in Pensacola and this stuff is really sad. |
