| Too many Splats? NEVER! ![]() | Okay, this one is fresh off the press and not good news. I have 3 engines for my Bucker Jungmann, took then all apart to use the best parts to rebuild 2 of them. I had new pistions, valves, guides and stuff made for the engies to get them as good as a 1938 engine can be. Well, I sent off ALL of my hardware, nuts, bolts, washers, baffelling parts, prop nuts, engine mount pads....you get my piont here...eveything to put then engine togther off to Orlando to get cadnium plated. Well, they finished the job, sent it off to me COD, and behold...UPS calls to tell me the box was found empty, no contents, they discardedthe box and sent the plating Co. a claims form! THey said their is nothig they can do, no search, no looking, no backtracking to try to locate the parts. Done deal. They will pay for up to $100 for shipping. Now to boot, the plating company wants their money for plating!!! Now, I have two engines and nothing to put them together with! Keep in mind these aprts are not standardharware. All metric and engine specific parts. The only way to get the parts is to find another engine. Just needed to vent! UPS...sucks. Matt |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Hey Matt, UPS told them unequivacally that the parts were not received by you, the buyer, and that they, UPS, didn't even bother delivering the empty box. Now since COD does stand for Cash On Delivery and no delivery was made no cash is due! Bill |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Man, That is a real bummer. Can't even know how you are feeling now. Has to be a major set back to your project. Sorry to hear about it.

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() ![]() | Makes me feel sick in the guts how this chit can keep happening. My first thought is what sort of box did the Cad platers put this stuff in. I can understand the butt falling out of a POS box so I would squarely lay that back on the supplier. Jeez this world has a few new morons showing their talent every dang day, looks like freight companies select from that gene pool. Matt, I hope this turns out for you mate. Kiwi |

| Too many Splats? NEVER! ![]() | I can see it now; Guy picks up a box...rather heavy... bottom falls out.... lots of bags with shiny new parts falls on floor.... guy says.... "Oh, look at all those nice shiny pieces...." as he kicks them under the table... "not in my job title to pick them up".... GO BROWN! that said, several of you make great pionts. The box must not have been up to the task or taped up very well. Thank God, all of the parst were in seperate zip lock bags, so maybe their still in the same location... Talked to UPS a while ago and they told me the reason no search was started was that when the plating complany said the parts had no value, so no search was started. Now that UPS has been told what value hsese parts have, they are now doing a search. Get this...the box was reported broken open the day it was picked up on the 26th oin Orlando and a report filed. The empty box was scanned the next morning in Jacksonville. WTF, Over? Why would they continue to ship a box that was broken open and empty? Ahhhhh....this is the stuff that makes the world go around! Gotta love it! |

| Bad-ass 3D Super Contributer! ![]() | Matt In my past life I've seen this happen. My guess the box was put on a conveyor belt. There was a package jam. The box ripped open parts spill on the belt and belt continues to move. Some guy in the sort isle see's scattered parts along with hundreds of other packages coming his way. Parts are everywhere. No time to collect things without stopping the belt and the whole operation. So they pickup the empty box re tape it and send it on its way.. ![]() |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Yea, and beside...get rid of the evidence. (the box) Just send a claim form and pay the $100....All done on their part. Why would the plating company say the parts had no value ? What a shame......It seems that they don't care what size plane they ruin. Hope you can get something to work your way on this , Matt ?
