Default Slight Tree Collision

I went to the Skyblazers Spring Fly-in Sat and was on approach after my first flight when several branches jump up and tried to grab my plane! I knew there were trees at the end of runway but I miss judged there distance when trying to land. My Yak, suddenly to my suprise (thought I had them cleared) impacted several branches from the trees and jerked hard to the right. I immediatley add power and up elevator and luckily flew through the impact just enough to land the plane safely on the runway. I killed the motor where I landed and went out to inspect. Much to my suprise I saw nothing but the right wings leading edge bummed up. I went back to the pit area with it and removed both wings for inspection. I found that one wing pin popped loose and there were holes in the bottom of the right wing. My new Vess got slightly scratched as well. I epoxed the wing pin back in place and was able to fly it the rest of the day. I did have the horizontal stab covering come off on my second flight (after the tree incident) but I was able to find some packing tap to fix it up for the day. Check out damage pics below. I was very luckly not to loose the plane.

At our field , we call that...Wood calling to Wood.....you were spared. Buy your plane the new goodie you have wanted to get for her. Reward her for fighting off the Call.
